Nagy nap volt a mai a Debreceni Állat- és Növénykertben, hiszen a közönség is megismerhette a hely legújabb lakóját, a fehér színű szamárkölyköt, aki pontosan két héttel ezelőtt jött a világra.
A hagyományokhoz hűen őt is a születése napjára eső névnap után kereszteltek el, így a szeptember 10-én kibújó kisszamár a Hunor nevet kapta. Különlegessége, hogy anyjához hasonlóan hófehér színű, ráadásul most még sokkal pelyhesebb a szőre is, így nagyon aranyos látványt nyújt.
A szamárcsikót eddig csak anyja és a gondozói láthatták, ám a mai napon a sajtó és a közönség számára is bemutatkozhatott, és úgy tűnik, nagyon jól bírja a ráirányuló figyelmet. Az állatkert szerint jó erőben lévő, egészséges kis csődör, akit anyja több mint egy évnyi vemhesség után szült meg. A Debreceni Állat- és Növénykert fontos célt tűzött ki maga elé: nemcsak a világ minden pontjáról származó, egzotikus fajokat szeretnék bemutatni a látogatóknak, hanem azokat a háziasított állatokat is, amelyek városi környezetben szintén nagyon különlegesnek számítanak. Ilyen a kis Hunor és családja is.
